CHICK COREA AND RETURN TO FOREVER
1971-Horacee became the original member of CHICK COREA AND RETURN TO FOREVER 1973-He became a member of Stan Getz Quartet, also recorded the Sonny Fortune Serengeti Minstrel Album, which featured the second time the duo of Horacee Arnold and Jack DeJohnette recorded together. Arnold’s music publishing company NUPENZA MUSIC was formed. He has received grants from NEA, CAPS, Ford Foundation,Thelma Hill Foundation and Meet the Composer. Awarded a Rockefeller foundation grant that allowed Arnold to formed and work extensively a quartet that included Sam Rivers Reggie Workman and David Friedman. Mr. Arnold also Signed with CBS records resulting in the internationally acclaimed recording “TALES OF THE EXONERATED FLEA”. Receiving a five star rating from (Down Beat Magazine and Rolling Stone) Tours and Recordings in Japan with Archie Shepp (1978). This tour presented an opportunity for the first time to work with my friend and great Bassist Buster Williams, It was a shear delight for me to discover the beauty his subtle wizardry.
