Yamaha Drum Clinics, Horacee Arnold Trios

horacee3Horacee Arnold began an influential teaching career in 1981 at William Paterson College of New Jersey and the past 10 years, at the New School for Social Research. Two of his well-known students are William Calhoun (Living Colour) and Bill Stewart (John Scofield).

During the 80s Horacee performed a number of drum clinics for Yamaha Drums, While working and recording with the Kenny Burrell Trio. In the late 80s he formed his own trio with Vic Juris and Stomu Takashi. In addition, a number of duet concerts marked the late 80s with his most cherished pupil, Will Calhoun.


Arnold is an accomplished painter and views his painting and music “as an opportunity to communicate my view of life in ways that extend feelings beyond the spoken word.”
